(Mexico won this one, incidentally). 1905, Daughters of the Republic of Texas vs. unscrupulous kitsch vendors (match DRT, although kitsch has staged a stronghold across the street at the Ripley’s complex). 2009, DRT vs. DRT, in the contentious plan to turn the Alamo into a real museum and education emporium, victors TBA.;It’s a weirdly spooky, small interior space (much renovated), and the gardens behind it are really nice.
